iPad?

All the rumours were true then it seems, at Apples keynote yesterday Steve Jobs took to the stage and announced the iPad, now don't get me wrong I love my Apple tech but something just seemed to disappoint me about this. Now this thing looks great and I've seen the videos of its performance, everything works as it should, the screen is great, its super fast blah blah blah, but all I keep thinking is "I already have an iPhone?" Maybe I'm just being stupid here but I was expecting a proper tablet Mac running a real OS but instead we get a "tablet" that needs a Sim card? It doesn't even make calls, granted that’s only on the Wi-Fi + 3G models, but still it seems something just isn't quite right. I have three apple products and they are all great, but the iPad is one I will not be wasting money on...though I would still like to have a play with one.

Tuesday 27^th January, apple conference day and we all know what that means. Today at 6pm (UK) we find out if all these rumours that have been flying around the Internet have any truth to them, I for one hope they do. I was a late bloomer to the Apple scene always holding strong to the thought in my mind that the PC was superior, I’ve since grown up and have been a full convert to the cause. Come 6pm this evening you can bet like any geek out there I will be glued to the live feeds hoping that these rumours come to fruition.

Inspiration hunting

Just wanted to show some love for a site that I visit almost on a daily basis, Notcot.org For me this is one of the best places to visit for inspiration as there is a whole plethora of content that gets posted daily, not to mention that its one of the best known design blogs there is… I salute you!

Can't stop the funk

Today I made art! Yay for me, going with the same idea that was in the last post only I changed it up a tiny bit. Also going with one of those sticker types that are floating around, as peoples signature's thought I'd try it, turns out it's not that shabby.

Designers block

Today was a day of working on some personal projects, which quickly declined into a bit of a mental block, which then jumped to me thinking about how I actually come up with the ideas that I do. My method it seems is for me to do as little as possible, today I have found myself playing a little Xbox and staring at a blank canvas in Illustrator for a few hours just waiting for something to magically appear in front of me. And i think it may have just worked.... Now, what to do with it!

Touchy feely!

Today I became the proud owner of a gadget that I've been aching for, for far too long, yes I know I'm behind the times with this one, but these things don't come cheap you know, in fact its not even paid for yet. Kudos to a friend of mine hooking me up with this! so here it is in all its glory complete with Lego throne, I’m so proud!

Starting this blog has been part of an effort to kick-start the creative side of me once again, the other part was to finally finish my online portfolio which has been getting put on hold for months now, but with a huge sigh of relief I was pleased to finish it not so long ago. And as if by magic I present to you the link to my online home, its nothing to wet your pants over but it does its job nicely thank you.
